Be Prepared to Start and Succeed
As a new student, Purdue Global believes you should know exactly what’s expected of you and the range of University resources that are available to support you.
We’ve put together a checklist of things to do to ensure you get off to a good start at Purdue Global. You can find details of each of these steps within this microsite.
Student Seminar
Once enrolled in a class, you can sign up to receive SMS reminders prior to the start of each weekly seminar. To sign up, text SEMINAR to 787383. You will receive a reminder 30 minutes before each class seminar.

Steps to Get Started
Class Readiness
See which tasks you need to accomplish by day 1.
- Register for and complete your Purdue Global orientation:
- ✓ Register for your classes.
- ✓ Order any required books.
- ✓ Make sure your computer is ready and that you have all the required software.
- Log in to PG Campus and tour around the virtual campus:
- ✓ Make sure you know how to access your email and your classes.
- ✓ Familiarize yourself with the online classroom.
- ✓ Familiarize yourself with the seminar tool.
- Use the preview period to:
- ✓ Access your classes, review the syllabus, and map out assignments
- ✓ Get ready for class 1 week before the start of your classes.
- Review attendance policies and make time in your schedule to study.

Paying for School
Understanding how you’ll finance your education is important. Learn about financial aid, military benefits, and ways to save money on tuition.

- ✓ If seeking financial aid, complete all required steps to secure funding.
- ✓ If paying by cash, understand how to access your account balance and make payments.

- ✓ If seeking credit for prior work experience, start the process to have experience evaluated.

Before you start school, you need to know the details of your program. Check to see if you must fulfill any requirements.
