Start Week

Preview Period

Wouldn’t it be nice to get a sneak peek of your registered online classes before term start? That’s what the preview period is for. Beginning on the Sunday before your term start, you can get acquainted with your courses, review the syllabus, and review some of the curriculum.

To access your courses during the preview period, log in to Purdue Global Campus and, in the center of the homepage, click on the “Future” button. Click on a link to one of your registered online classes to open your Brightspace classroom. We recommend you check out the following:

  • If your course is a standard one, review the announcements, including your instructor’s information on the course homepage. Then click on the Content tab and browse through each unit to get a feel for unit navigation and see what topics will be covered. On the main page of each unit, you can see an overview of the unit, what the assigned readings are, and more.
  • If your course is a module course, review the announcements, including your instructor’s information on the course homepage. Then click on the Content tab and review the learning outcomes and syllabus under Getting Started.

Note: Do not work ahead on discussion board posts, assignments, or quizzes/readiness assessments before Wednesday — the date the term begins.
