If you’re currently enrolled in the Purdue Global School of Nursing, you need to be aware of certain policies and resources that are specific to your degree program.

Review the degree requirements for undergraduate and graduate nursing students below.

Nursing Student Checklist

Undergraduate Nursing Students

  • ID badge: RN-to-BSN students must purchase an identification badge to be worn during clinical practice experiences that require interaction with health care professionals, communities, or patients.
  • Nursing Academic Calendar: Keep track of important dates related to your program.

Graduate Nursing Students

  • ID badge: You must purchase an identification badge to be worn during clinical practice experiences that require interaction with health care professionals, communities, or patients.
  • Uniform requirements: Graduate nursing programs require Purdue Global uniforms to be worn during clinical practice experiences that require interaction with health care professionals, communities, or patients.
  • CORE ELMS: You will need to set up a CORE ELMS account for submitting your clinical preplacement documentation and recording clinical or practicum hours once you are placed into a clinical experience. Go to the School of Nursing Community page in PG Campus for details.
  • CORE ELMS Orientations I and II: Once you have set up your account in CORE ELMS, review the following orientations that show you how to get started.
  • Nursing handbook: Get essential information about how to apply for a clinical position, activities at your clinical site, and clinical requirements to fulfill. Read it and keep it handy. It’s in the CORE ELMS document library.
  • Academic and Clinical Calendars: Keep track of dates on the Purdue Global Academic Calendar and the Clinical Calendar (found in the CORE ELMS document library, specific to your program).
